Intern Potluck

We are hosting the intern welcome potluck on Monday, October 16th at 5 pm to 7 pm at Sand Lake Multi-Purpose Room(MPR). Come and meet:

• Miharu, the intern for Grades 2 and 3
• Fumiko, the intern for Grades 4 and 5
• Daiki, the intern for Mears and Dimond and
• Mitsuhiro, the J-Leap for Grade 1 (He will be here for 2 years and will be spending this summer in Alaska.)

Our interns spend almost as much time with your student as your Japanese classroom teacher. They bring another Japanese speaker to the classroom and are excited about going into the teaching profession when they return to Japan. They have chosen this internship because they want to experience Alaska and the American culture. Maybe talking with your intern your family will find a fun outing you can do together:-)

I encourage you to take this opportunity to come and meet this outgoing and amazing group of teachers.

Bring a dish, learn about where they are from in Japan and enjoy the chance to hear your student talk to his/her intern in Japanese!
