Cultural Exchange

There are several exchange options available to families interested in Japanese language and culture, including:

  • Hosting a Japanese intern (age 20-35) for 3-4 months in your home.
  • Hosting a student from Chitose on their exchange visit to Anchorage.
  • Immersion student visits to Chitose during 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade.

New to Anchorage! 4-H has an exchange program that gives your family the opportunity to host a 10-16 year old from Japan for 4 weeks in the Summer. For more about this program, look on their web site: www.states4hexchange.org.
