Welcome Back Immersion Families
It is time to renew your Tomo No Kai membership
Your support makes these opportunities possible for our children:
- Interns. 7 interns at Sand Lake, Mears, and Dimond.
- Adopt-A-Student. Dimond students meet monthly with a Japanese speaker.
- Completion Ceremonies. Dimond 12th grade and Sand Lake 6th grade Immersion Completion ceremonies in May.
- Chitose Exchange. In January 2016 our guests will come from Chitose Elementary, and in June 2016, our 5th and 6th grade exchange group will travel to Chitose Elementary School.
- Alaska Nihongo Contest. The AKATJ Japanese Speech Contest is an opportunity for our students to participate in a statewide competition in Japanese in the categories of: speech, song, poetry, or skit.
- Teachers Conference. Immersion teachers will have the opportunity to attend the Anchorage AFLA Conference.
